Today my husband and children built a TePee.

It took half the day, but it is very sturdy, roomy, and the kids think it is beyond Cool  :)

After the  leaves on the trees they used to weave it together die they are going to weave palm fronds into the sides, then it will be rain proof and look even cooler. Will post pics when that part is complete. Meanwhile the kids love that it is camouflaged into the background of trees.

I think they are all kinda cool for thinking of it, and spending the day making it happen.

Wow... Just Wow. I submitted a manuscript to a publishing company about a month ago and received the rejection today. Rejections are par for the course in this business, quite expected really, but they gave me specific reasons for the rejection and invited me to resubmit after changing things for the better in the manuscript. This is unheard of in the publishing world. I will be busy making the changes in the next few weeks before I start school so I can resubmit with Muse It Up publishing.

BURN OUT!   I really wanted to spend the summer writing... But NO I had to take summer classes... In such a hurry to Graduate........... WHY???? So I can be qualified to write? I am not sure this is leading me there. In fact I am pretty sure that all of my college classes combined did not help my writing as much as when I just sat down each day and forced myself to write, then edit edit edit.  I am getting a little burned out and cynical about college all together.

First Book Review

Okay. So I was a bit hesitant to do a book review because who am I do judge another writer? Well I will tell you, I am the READER. I am not comparing my writing to the reviews, I am writing about my thoughts as I read someone elses work, just an honest opinion. Stephen King's "Under The Dome" was the last book that I picked up so I figured it is the freshest in my mind. Let me tell you about me and Mr. King; when I was 12 I read The Stand... and fell in love. He was edgy and smart, he wrote real people, and ugly honest portrayals. This is how I felt then. So I read Carrie, The Night Shift, Salem's Lot, The Girl Who Loved Tom Gordan, Desperation, The Green Mile, and many others.The Dark Tower Series was given to me as a gift from the man who would become my husband.
